Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer is the beloved cartoon that decades and decades of families watch together to bring in every new holiday season. We know the characters, the songs, and all of the little jokes. We can practically recite it yet it still seems fresh every time we watch it. Imagine watching it but live, in front of your eyes, with every detail of the movie in full-living color. This show was exactly what I wanted it to be. A real-life version of the beloved cartoon. The original television classic that comes to life!


The actors were all magnificent, portraying their cartoon counterparts perfectly. The sets were just right, leaving enough to our imaginations from what we have already seen. The songs perfectly re-created. There wasn't one part of this show that disappointed. As a matter of fact, I could watch it again and again. And seeing Rudolf flying around the theater in the blizzard at the end was the cherry on top of the cake.

Come see all of your favorite characters from the special including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph. It’s an adventure that teaches us that what makes you different can be what makes you special. Don’t miss this wonderful holiday tradition that speaks to the misfit in all of us. Based on the animated television special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the stage production directed and conceived by Jeff Frank and First Stage. Script adaptation by Robert Penola. The Theatre Madison Square Garden is the perfect place for this show. It's small enough, and intimate. Every seat is good. It's more casual than a Broadway theater and perfect for the younger children. I have to tell you, though, there were plenty of smiling adults there, too! (Including myself.)

I hope Madison Square Garden continues to treat us to this spectacular holiday show for many years because I will be there each and every year.
