With all of the focus on anxiety, depression, panic attacks, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and stress, owning a dog can have such a profound effect on your mental health. In additional to the immense joy, unconditional love, and complete happiness they bring just by being your companion, there are so many health benefits as well.
So many studies have been done and there is overwhelming evidence that having a dog can help you in so many ways.

Children who grow up with dogs learn about compassion, responsibility, empathy, and kindness. Children can trust their dog and feel important to their dog. Children benefit from playing with dogs and having a source of calmness and relaxation. Children with learning disabilities can connect with a dog and help them learn to interact, regulate stress and calm themselves, making them better equipped to overcome the challenges of their disorder. Playing and exercising with a dog or cat can help a child with learning disorders stay alert and attentive throughout the day.

Havanese and Australian Labradoodles are perfect pets, but they're also perfect for both service dogs and emotional support animals.
Havanese are loveable, sweet, adorable, and fun, and they have very distinctive features including a curled-over tail and a gorgeous silky coat, which comes in a variety of colors. Their small but sturdy bodies, adaptable nature, and social skills make Havanese an ideal city dog, but they are content to be anywhere that they can command the attention of admirers young and old alike. Havanese, smart and trainable extroverts with the comic instincts of a born clown, are natural trick dogs. Havanese are also excellent watchdogs and take the job seriously, but will usually keep the barking to a minimum. They love to be around people and are sad when left alone for long so make sure you're ready for the task. Many people call them Velcro dogs and we love them for that. They're really snuggly too. They're just the sweetest dogs we've ever seen.
Australian Labradoodles are also loveable. They love everyone, and generally everyone loves them. They are non-shedding, with gorgeous and silky soft fleecy coats. They are super smart and easy to train, and great family pets. The Australian Labradoodle is a mix of Labrador Retriever, Poodle, American and English Cocker Spaniels were thrown into the mix, along with Irish Water Spaniels and Wheaten Terriers. Australian Labradoodles are generally calm and well-balanced, energetic and playful, but equally even-tempered around younger children.
We can go on and on but the bottom line is that owning a dog can be the greatest thing of all. We have loved many.
