2008. Liberty expands their line and increases production. New edges, sidewall material and topsheet are used. They continue to refine our products and get much-appreciated awards from industry magazines, including one from Freeskier that says the Helix “might just be the best all-around ski ever.” Liberty riders like Larose, Belanger, Hornbeck, Redd, Lesh and Fortin contribute to product design that is lighter, stronger and dialed in to progressive skiing styles. Skiing magazine features Liberty in a multi-page, feature article, contributing to their growing appeal to mainstream consumers.

2010. Growth from their distribution partners and domestic markets means an expansion of lines and a rethinking of existing models. Liberty continues to innovate by developing new models with eco-friendly materials that raise the performance bar for twin tip skis. To their existing bamboo and poplar cores they add basalt fiber, naturally sourced topsheet material and radical new shapes, as well as new rocker/camber profiles. Rumors of another huge new ski circulate and new team members are added to help with a dedicated women’s line. To cope with growth, they hire a Sales Manager to help their rep staff service dealers. Excitement is high as they begin production of 2011 skis and start prototypes for 2012 product.

2012. The year starts with dismal snowfall in most of North America and Europe, but sales remain good, and even increase in some areas. On the strength of the flat-tailed, metal-infused, Variant113, they launch the Variant97 to skiers eager for a narrower option. The all new Liberty Attack Alpine bindings are launched.
2014. 10 Years Deep! They celebrate their tenth anniversary with a new factory, new models, new technology, and a renewal of the product-centric focus that brought them this far. They add paulownia wood to the already light women’s cores to reduce the weight further, and launch what will become a defining ski in the Origin. The innovative artwork and performance of the Origin will set the stage for their most award-winning series of skis ever. The awards roll in and they add Liberty dealers across the country.
2015. Their skis get narrower, stronger, and lighter with the addition of carbon fiber in the Origin models and Titanal in the expanded Variant line, featuring the frontside-oriented Variant87. The now legendary Helix and Double Helix get a carbon fiber boost, along with the redesigned Transfer.
2016. The Origin design grows to a full line as the success of the bamboo and carbon fiber core is proven. They add Origin models down to a 96 waist with more in the design phase. Jonathan Ellsworth from Blister Gear gives the new Origin96 a full test and is blown away. His two word summary is “Holy Sh*t.” He goes on to say “..it feels like I can make this ski do anything I want it to.” They make plans to bring this design to more models and to the women’s line. They also launch a new women’s Variant87, which quickly becomes their most popular women’s model. Magazine awards continue to roll in, but they are most gratified by the personal stories of customers making their days on snow better with their skis.

So, even if much of this doesn't make sense because all's you care about is getting on those beautiful, crispy white slopes, the only thing you really need to know is that Liberty Skis are the best we have ever had the pleasure of testing. The graphics are phenomenal, the quality exceptional, and performance unbeatable. Don't let one more ski trip pass without a pair of these bad boys!

Our favorites are the Genome (left): Don't fear the girth. The Genome is surprisingly nimble, due to tip and tail Bomb Rocker and lightweight construction. You can float, pivot, and romp deep snow, but can lay down tracks on harder stuff because of the unique camber profile The Genome will make you a believer. Fantastic features include: Full tip and tail rocker with positive camber underfoot for maximum floatation and playful feel; Hand made bamboo and poplar laminate core for strong, durable, light weight and eco-friendly liveliness; A polyurethane bumper to smooth out the ride and protect the top sheet against chipping; Custom E-glass creates torsional rigidity while allowing longitudinal flex for easy turn initiation; German HRC 48 steel edges with extra large anchors for durability and heat dissipation; bases that are durable and porous to absorb wax and stay fast. You can't go wrong.

Inspired by the power of the Italian Alps, Tecnica boots are made for skiers who give the mountain their all every day. Featuring a traditional feel combined with modern components, Tecnica boots won't disappoint in either fit or performance.
Calzaturificio Tecnica SpA was born on 1960, developing the activity of the small workshop established in the 1930’s by Oreste Zanatta. At the beginning, the company’s activity was focused on work-boots production. Together, with the growing of ski trend in Italy, Tecnica changed its production and directed its activity towards the winter sports market. In 1969 the first major international success was the launch of Moon Boot, an after-ski boot that takes inspiration from the boots worn by the Apollo astronauts who first set foot on the Moon. Moon Boots quickly become synonymous in the world of after-ski boot and symbol of Tecnica success.
In 1970 Tecnica presents Tecnus, the first bi-injiected skiboot, followed in the 80s by the TNT hit series. These are the first steps of the company to reach a leadership position in the ski boot market. In the mid-'80s, Tecnica launches its first outdoor collection that will quickly become one of its major market segments. Tecnica takes over Lowa, the most prestigious German company in the outdoor footwear market. For the first time, an Italian company acquires a top-level german company in this field. In 1998 Tecnica acquired Dolomite, the world’s oldest existing mountain equipment brand. Thus was born Tecnica Group, today a world leader in ski boots, outdoor footwear, after-ski footwear, in-line skating, with its brands Tecnica, Blizzard, Moon Boot, Lowa, Nordica, Dolomite, Rollerblade.
Tecnica has been confirmed as the world leader in after-ski segment and third in ski boots market.
In 2002, the company introduces two revolutionary technologies: HOTFORM, a special thermoformable liner and Rapid Access, an innovative technology allowing the foot to slide in an out of the boot with ease. During all those years, integration and diversification strategies together with the ability to create high performing products have made the company a leader in ski boot, after-ski and outdoor segments.
